In June 2023, the iteration #879 from the famous series "Ringers" by Dimitri Cherniak, known as "The Goose", sold at Sotheby's for $6.2 Million.
Artists from the blockchain art world celebrated the record sale by creating memes and posting chains of "The Goose" derivatives. I was one of them.

July 2026, as a cheeky response to a tweet by Dmitri, I decided to turn that artwork into a on-chain generative collection on Tezos. It then became a Long form. All the iterations look the same, but are also unique if you look closer. A sort of stunt, but also a reflection on an artistic movement as a whole.

The blockchain art movement sparked an extraordinary explosion of creativity. Rarely has art reinvented itself so profoundly in such a short span of time. It saw unknown artists emerge, established ones find new momentum, and others experience an unexpected rebirth. It gave rise to improbable collaborations, remixes, memes, distribution stunts or outrageously speculative financial vehicles that made international headlines. It rode waves of euphoria, inspired countless creators, made some people incredibly fortunate, and occasionally left others ruined. It brought people together. More than anything, it gave certain forms of art the chance to exist when they simply couldn’t have existed otherwise.

That was my story.
Had I listened to the repeated warnings instead of following my curiosity and my passion, I might have made different choices. My art, as it exists today, almost certainly wouldn’t have existed at all.
