Released in December 2022, Garden, Monoliths are a series of 255 works produced by the artist's first long-form generative program.
The release achieved rapid success, marking a turning point in the artist's career and becoming the highest-selling project on the fx(hash) platform.
With its figurative aesthetic, Garden, Monoliths demonstrated the expressive potential of generative art and has often been used by enthusiasts to introduce newcomers to the medium.
As the artist selected iteration #0, the one inscribed on-chain as the collection’s visual emblem but rendered non-transferable, it holds a unique status within the series. Zancan retained the plotted drawing as a personal keepsake, even embedding a hidden composition on its reverse. The work exemplifies the plotter’s finest line precision, while the subtle tonal shading was applied by hand using a custom blend of watercolor and ink.

Titled "#0" since it was genuinely the first iteration of the Garden, Monoliths series whose hash value ( the seed that determines the graphical result ) was inscribed on chain. However, it doesn't belong to the official set per se, as it was never a NFT that could be acquired by a collector.
